The two Havelteberg monuments are a long way west from the string of hunebedden between Emmen and Assen. But they're worth a detour!
D54 and D53 are within 400ms of each other in sandy heathland.
D53 is a moster hunebed in superb shape and even has its portal stones. |

(2005-03-10) | This really is massive and make some of ours look rather small. Good to get thngs in a better perspective. One of the really useful things the Portal is doing, now that we are international, is to show the enormous range of megaliths over an incredible range of countries. | nicoladidsbury
