(2005-03-07) | I suspect the indentation at the top is weathering but is the vertical groove down the side natural or caused by rain run-off from the top? I've just finished reading Terence Meaden's book The Secrets of the Avebury Stones and I imagine he would regard this the stone as a female vulva stone. | Thorgrim

The indentation is perfect for making liquid offerings, perhaps to the "gods/giants" of the nearby Tors. |
