|Description ||Marked as cairn on OS maps (SN 746 792) and only accessible via a fairly strenuous walk from Ysbyty Cynfyn (cf) perseverance is required to find this site but the effort it well rewarded: it is a fine example of a denuded kerb cairn, similar to the example at Hirnant, and is set in stunning countryside. The walk through Parson’s Bridge and views from the cairn itself provide ample recompense for the exertions! All that remains of the cairn today is a delightful oval (5m x 4m) of eleven uprights which were once the retaining kerb of the cairn. These stones stand between 0.75m and 1.0m in height and generally lean out from the centre, a slight hollow in which may mark the site of a cist.|
|This is a really wonderful site, see photo on my web page|
