The walk through Parson’s Bridge and views from the cairn itself provide ample recompense for the exertions! All that remains of the cairn today is a delightful oval (5m x 4m) of eleven uprights which were once the retaining kerb of the cairn. These stones stand between 0.75m and 1.0m in height and generally lean out from the centre, a slight hollow in which may mark the site of a cist. |
