(2005-01-20) | We had spent a long day touring around Galloway, but I was determined to go to Cairnholy, even though it was very late in the day. The sun set shortly after we arrived, so we had to revert to tripods and flash. The flash on my camera was not quite strong enough to reach the stones, and I have had to lighten them with Photoshop, using shadow/highlight, which leaves the sky and lightens the stones.
This is how they looked though, in flash light, and the sky was actually that strange deep violet colour. We spent ages up there, and came away with some very interesting shots!
