| Posted Comments: K. Walter Haug, Germ (2005-02-11) | Fine old cairn. Cairns in southern Germany look like this. The remains of it are built in quarries. That´s the reason why they are not recognized. There are hundreds. The Etruscians habe constructed some of their tumuli also in quarries, for example the Banditacci-necropolis near Cerveteri. Our greatest nekropolis near Würzburg on the Marsberg is only a little taller (1,3 x 0,3 km). |
