This small square chapel is located to the south-east of the main Philae temple between the colonnade and Trajan's Kiosk.
Emhotep was originaly the architect of Jozer who built the stepped pyramid at Saqquara. Later he was deified as he was seen as a favourite of Thoth. Eventually he became an Egyptian version of Aesclaepsius, the healing god. |
