Description The Whetstones taken from the northern summit of Corndon, adjacent the trig point and atop one of its numerous cairns.

The Whetstones are central in the picture, in the greener area; Miss Chitty has described the Whetstones as a circle once as important as the nearby Mitchell's Fold.

The Whetstones can be viewed from the field just to the north, accessed over a stile from the road (top), which is the boundary with Shropshire.

Numerous stones are in the adjoining field boundary; one must surmise that many of these stones were once a part of The Whetstones.
