| Posted Comments: ABH (2013-05-20) | Just done a Rune course and there are a few I don't recognise, will have to do some research, but then I learnt the Anglo Saxon fuþark. No bind runes here but interesting that there is a repetitive nature to this stone Tiwaz and Elhaz for success and protection, Birkano for birth and womanly things, Sowillo for the Sun, Nauthaz for learning and self reliance, Laguz for travel over water, Wunjo for balance, Uraz for courage, Raidho for land travel and change. Fehu and Isa are together which represent the primeval forces of creation, Fire and Ice. All within a serpent who I assume is the one found at the base of Yggdrasill the tree of life! | ABH (2013-05-20) | Not sure of the central motif but looks like the sun shining on things but also faintly sexual and rather penetrative in nature! I know nothing about this stone or if my meanings are relevant but I would hazard a guess this was about a powerful, respected and much loved woman | Martin L (2013-05-21) | According to common translation the stone was erected for a male person called Sverker. (sth. like ~~ ""Vighjälm and Ödmund - they let raise the stone for Sverker - their good brother.”" )

An excellent online reference is this page:

The central motif is usually interpreted as a cross.
