|I think Thorgrim has done a pretty good job here. The light is such that it picks out the necessary detail. I can clearly see the cross and the four "bosses" between the arms, even the weathered surface of the stones. Well done Peter.|
|Thanks kernunos - I thought that this photo was pretty clear too. You have to remember Michelle, that the carvings on these crosses have been weathered for at least 1000 years. Side lighting with adequate light and shade (as here) is pretty essential to reveal the designs. When the sun is overhead or when flash is used - the results can be very disappointing.
