The area around the road junction is now called 'Standingstone' and there is a carpark adjacent to this junction. However on modern maps the trackway leading NE from the junction to the actual site of the standingstone is no longer marked. It can be followed as a very shallow indentation across the field This track intersects a public footpath at the site of the Standingstone.
The stone is no longer there but a crude circle of flaggy stones, with a centre now filled with sand, marks the spot where the standingstone used to be. |
