|Description ||This is the view from the so-called 'Gorsedd' hillock (see Julian Cope's book 'The Modern Antiquarian') at Capel Garmon, towards the distant mountains. These would be the peaks that aligned with the three sharp stones on the platform's western edge after climbing down the slope under the present-day trees to get a clear view. (As I didn't take a compass reading, this is possibly more NW than West, as are the position of the sharp stones.)|
It definitely feels like a ceremonial centre 'command-point'.
