After considerable searching I found what may possibly be the site of BH II but saw nothing that could correspond to its neighbor BH III. Maybe both would be visible in aerial photos? This shot of Bonfire Hill is taken from very close to the position where these cairns should be, looking towards the earthworks of the nearby Romano-British Enclosure on Beadle Hill which can be seen in the field just in front of the second dry stone wall. |
