| Posted Comments: Ethelwulf (2006-08-09) | Great aerial perspective of this site - I nothing about Indian history, though this image deserves a comment for the detail perspective and visual impact. | bat400 (2006-08-09) | Actually, its showing only a small portion of the stockade wall site and the modern museum. Click on the aerial view in the posting. You can see the large half circle of the outer stockade wall that protected the town from the east, north, and west. The Ohio River lay to the south. Either they had no fear of invaders by water, or the south stockade wall disappeared from river encroachment. |
