One of a group of standing stones on the flanks of Carn Brea. This hill still very much a site of ceremonial importance. |

IIRC, the others lower on Carn Brea (nr Redruth) aren't so slender, and typically menhir shaped. | maengurta (2007-05-19) | Right on traveller, its at the summit of the hill about half way along towards carn tregajorran. | maengurta (2007-05-19) | Actually i've just searched carn brea and seen all the stuff. Its a bit of a pickle. Why do the Cornish give their places all the same name? Given that carn means outcrop and bre or vre means hill and the amount of both hills and outcrops in cornwall I suppose this is going to happen. Maybe myself or S T who know the area could help sort it out. | knap (2009-01-13) | I spy South Crofty bleakly in the background.
