It was destroyed during the Herulian invasion in 267 CE, but in the 410 CE the remains were converted into a Gymnasium, alhough it was mostly used as an administrative building.
It is also called Stoa of the Giants or Palace of the Giants on account of the large statues of Tritons etc. |
