| Posted Comments: stonesavant (2010-09-25) | This was not a primary burial chamber It probably had a roof over it and acted as a light beam dial. it has lunar and solar beam and observational charachteristics. Identical to Lough Cru Autumnal Equinox sunset alignments Cairn T. The hole in the stome may not be contemporary with the Neolithic structure. The stones across the final third of the scopic chamber acted as aperatures or lenses to further collimate or refine the beam. The main lens stone nay have held a crystal lens but the outer ridges on the right shoulder of the main stone are lunar set and rise curvatures. |
