nicoladidsbury (2006-04-08) | Hi Angie, this is great, Boneman wants me to tell you that he thinks its a lovely photo! |
thorgrim (2006-04-08) | Gets my vote if entered for the spring competition |
JimChampion (2006-04-08) | Now that's a good idea. Submit, submit. |
AngieLake (2006-04-08) | OK - I will enter this one! Forgot all about it, and brain's foggy 'cause of my current fluey-cold! Thanks folks. |
Runemage (2006-04-09) | That's lovely Angie, such a gentle atmosphere. |
AngieLake (2006-04-09) | Thankyou Runemage. It was one of those very special moments - just me and that magical circle, and those lovely bluebells - that you cherish always. |
nicarthurson (2006-04-24) | Thank you for entering this one in the competition, it's lovely to see the bluebells at Boscawen Un again - I have left it far too long since visiting that beautiful circle. |
AngieLake (2006-04-24) | Thanks for compliments Nic. Hope you do make it, though you will have a very long journey, I see! (Liked your own web page photos. I drove up to Orkney for a week in 2001 and loved it. Envy you!) |
Andy B (2006-04-27) | THIRD PRIZE IN CAT A - CONGRATULATIONS |
hamish (2006-04-28) | Well done Angie, I hope to be going down there in May. I hope the bluebells are still out. |
stonetramp (2006-04-28) | What a charming spot! I love these little circles. Can't you just see the faeries skipping about? Very pretty! |
AngieLake (2006-04-29) | Thankyou very much to everyone who voted for me. If the best ones hadn't withdrawn I wouldn't have stood a chance! Am down there towards end of May too, Hamish! |
ryszard (2006-05-02) | Congrats AngieLake. Great pic. When you come back let me know if the lads still drink draught cider & sing in harmony on Fridays & Saturdays in the pub in St Buryan. |
davidmorgan (2007-01-26) | Just found this pic, Angie, it's lovely. I once trudged through the maize fields from the camp site at St Buryan to find this site. It's the kind of place I'd like to crash out for the night. |
AngieLake (2007-01-28) | Thanks David. Am looking forward to my annual pilgrimage in May! |
Rodaan (2008-02-12) | This is my favourite photo of my favourite sacred site. Angie, it's been my wallpaper for the past two years now and I still love it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! |
AngieLake (2008-02-12) | Thank you so much Rodaan. I enjoy posting my rather amateurish pics anyway, so others can share, but when I get feedback like this it makes it even more special. (Your pic today is beautiful too!) |
Rodaan (2008-02-13) | No worries. Thank you too, Angie. But, er..... would you like to give my pic a rating, please? It's strange, there've been a lot of hits since I posted it yesterday, but no ratings at all.
I have a few more taken that day, so maybe I'll post a couple more. Also, amongst others, some snowy ones of another favourite place, Scorhill, which is I guess almost your "local" ring. :-) |
AngieLake (2008-02-13) | That often happens Rodaan - quite often I've posted something I feel is good, but no-one else votes for it. It depends how it takes the viewer I think, and doesn't mean that they don't like it. (There are so many skilled photographers posting on Meg P!) In fact I've often gone back over the last 100 pages of pics and seen one that suddenly moves me to vote, and I only vote the top score as a rule. I'm just a lucky amateur, so find it difficult to score anyone less than 10! [Don't forget, the person who comments isn't necessarily the one who has voted for the pic.] Yes, I'll look forward to seeing more of your photos. |
Andy B (2008-02-13) | Hello Rodaan and welcome, thanks for your first photo. Like Angie says there are a lot of photos on here (including 34 just of Boscawen Un) so the best way to get yours noticed is to post a few more of different sites. The very best way is to track down some sites we have listed but with few or no photos yet. Or get an original angle on a well known site. |
