South East orientation.
Built by Setau, Viceroy of Kush (Nubia) in honour of Rames II in the later part of his reign.
Dedicate to Amon and Ra.
This picture shows the surviving set of pylons and the rock cut part of the temple. The outer walls and first two sets of pylons did not survive. The interior has many fine reliefs. The Yugoslav/American rescue team did not coordinate well and made some errors in th einterior, so that a couple of columns are at the wrong location and the roof beam is now bent.
The orginal location was 2 Km East before the flooding of the erea.
