We did these rough mock-ups for the renouned Romano-British archaeologist, David Mason who was in charge of the dig there.
The were a couple of issues that arose from these reconstructions. The main one was, if all these buildings were two storey, as they were believed to have been, then how did any light get to the interior of the middle building - they were in blocks of three - if it didn't have a central courtyard. (The buildings were roughly 20' x 60'). Between us we came up with several theories, such as the outer buildings being only single storey, but it was great to be able to throw some light (so to speak) on something that had not been considered, by using CGI. |
