They are thought to have come from a Roman temple at the fort of Bremetennacum (Ribchester). One of the columns has had to be restored. Enjoy your pint!! |

(2012-08-01) | Went for lunch here on 12th May. V. nice pub. Ribchester v. pleasant place to visit, esp by the riverside, looking back towards Pendle Hill. Nice little museum there, too, and some Roman remains. (The town - or village - is built on top of much of the original Roman site.) | rldixon
