| Posted Comments: AngieLake (2012-08-01) | Went for lunch here on 12th May. V. nice pub. Ribchester v. pleasant place to visit, esp by the riverside, looking back towards Pendle Hill. Nice little museum there, too, and some Roman remains. (The town - or village - is built on top of much of the original Roman site.) | rldixon (2012-08-02) | I visited here about 1995 :) needless to say i popped in for a beer :) | Sunny100 (2012-08-03) | Thank you Angie and Richard. Glad you enjoyed your visits to Ribchester and your pints of beer. It is indeed a nice village. | guile (2012-08-03) | Great find sunny100! Is that a mounting block to the right? Looks like you have to step down into the pub? Love it. | Sunny100 (2012-08-03) | Yes guile it is a mounting block for gentlemen to climb onto their horses after partaking of several pints of locally brewed ale. |
