Description The Turoe Stone, dating from between the 3rd to 2nd century BC. It stands in front of Turoe House near Bullaun, Co Galway.

Don't know, just worked out that way, with a little bit of tweaking here and there and colour. It's not a screen shot.

Wow, stunning Sunny. So your image processing perfectly imitates results obtained when taking a screenshot of a videoscreen. I really thought you had a video film of the site.

Hi Sunny, is this a recent shot? I visited 2002/3 and it was in that concrete with the grille around it, slap bang in the centre of a kiddies' adventure playground beside a farmhouse. There was a wooden hut near the house where they charged admission to an open farm. When I said I only wanted to spend a little time photographing the stone, they let me in for free which was nice.

No not recent, back in 1992 i think. Such an historic monument should not be sited in a children's playground. Have the powers that be no thought for these ancient stones. Thanks for your observations Runemage, cheers.
