Contact them for permission to reproduce it. | | | Description | Dun Eochla, a stone fort located at the highest point on Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. Consisting of two series of walls, which with the stone hut in the enclosure, were repaired in the late 19th Century. It has been estimated that Dun Eochla was originally built sometime between 550 and 800 A.D. and was the dwelling place for an extended family and their animals. It may have replaced an even older settlement.
