The impressive capstone is damaged by explosives, but still rests on at least one orthostat (visible to the left). The chamber is largely embedded into the remains of the barrow. As the chamber of Sprockhoff 83 is only 10m to the West it is not quite clear if these are the remains of a double-chambered long-barrow or Sprockhoff 83 and 84 originally were separated round barrows very close to each other.
