The surface is overgrown by lichen, but shows at least 20 (other sources say 30 and there obviously were several more) weathered cup-marks from the Neolithic or Bronze age.
Size and depth varying.
4 cupmarks are in a square-like arrangement.
“Hexenstein” means “Stone of the Witch” / “Witch's Stone”.
Rock art is comparatively rare in this area and mainly limited to cup-marks. Nevertheless an impressive site.

(2012-06-13) | This is to illustrate the lichen growth and the difficulty to spot most of the (smaller) cupmarks (even though slight lighting is added here). Hence some intense lighting is added in the other photos. |
