This can be found at some neolithic sites of Funnel beaker culture in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands..... As it seems the cup-marks were carved by bronze-age people who re-used these older sites. | SolarMegalith (2013-01-22) | In some areas of Europe the cup-marks could be earlier then Bronze Age, even Early Neolithic - a cup-marked stone was discovered under one of the Early Neolithic long barrows in Britain. | Martin L (2013-01-22) | That's correct in general, but unlikely in the cases i mentioned.
