Due to the threat of sinking into the marshy soil the remains of the tomb were transferred to Wanna. Here the chamber was reconstructed.
The recent localisation is close to the school at Osterwanna, a few meters north of the Landesstraße (L 118), about 100 meters west of the sports field.
The reconstruction shows a "5 yokes-chamber", consisting of 5 capstones, 10 supporting stones at the long sides and 2 further uprights at the narrow sides.
There's no passage. So the tomb looks like a Großdolmen (unsure translation: "Large dolmen").
But in fact the original tomb most probably had been a passage grave.
