You can drive a small pathway from the village into
this small wood. People seem to take good care for
the place, so you have a wonderful view from
all around the tomb.
The tomb was set up with four pairs of orthostats (Joche).
Just one capstone is missing, so three are in situ.
A chambered tomb with an enclosure.
Parts of that missing capstone rest near the tomb.
Size of the chamber is apprx. 5m x 1.5m.
Furthermore you can see 17 stones of the enclosure,
just some of them in there original location.
The old Long Barrow was about 18m x 7m. |
