Cerrig Duon (Black Stones) is a 60' x 57' slightly egg-shaped ring of about 22 stones no more than 2' high. The most prominent feature is the outlier, Maen Mawr, standing 30' to the north. |
| Posted Comments: sem (2005-03-01) | Another feature is Waun Llechi(or Lleuci)standing about 750yds to the NNE.This is aligned directly on the circle. Also,if you go to Waun Llechi, follow the fence upwards and about 50yds away is a truncated stone with evidence of packing. There seems to be a link here with Fan Brycheiniog. | pab (2008-01-02) | I wonder SEM if part of the link is the line of the early section of the Tawe which is between Waun Leuchi and the Fan? I must post some of the pictures I took there in the summer, as some of them show the same splitting characteristics as paulcmuir's |
