Description Cairn 2 - this view shows Sugarloaf Mountain, near Abergavenny in the distance - (so named to distinguish it from 'Cairn 1') was found by dowsing from the stone row. I stood by the fallen longstone and 'asked' if there was something important in the area that was a focal point during ceremonies involving the row, and by following the direction my L-shaped rods pointed, was taken here. It lies about 300 yards away, and approx SE of, Cairn 1. (Sorry, am no expert in distances!) There's a view of site from approach to stone row on the stone row page.

Hi Ang. Thanks for the memories of a good day out.
As I remember we had a bit of a debate about which of the stone clusters were hut circles and which were cairns. Didn't know about Pete's "helicopter" then.
One thing you have forgotten to mention is the lines of sheep being herded in the background - Townies may think they are stones.

Thanks to both of you for taking me up there... (and pausing on the way up, every time I ran out of breath!) ;-) I know we didn't discuss these two cairns as we weren't together then. You and Peter had spent most of our time off exploring on your own, but when we did get together, those stones on the way back down the hill were pretty likely candidates for some kind of proc. way markers, weren't they? Can't remember any hut circles...??? Hadn't noticed the 'grey wethers'!! [What 'helicopter'?!....] Remember the drive home, Sem??? ;-)
