This one, just visible in the long grass is right next to a footpath. The other, according to the map, is just a little way down the road, but appears to be on private land and is hidden by a high hedge and other foliage. A visit during the Winter months may offer a glimpse of it. |
| Posted Comments: PaulM (2005-07-12) | Spooky - last weekend we went to find these stones. Could not find the one you did not find but the field for this one had been mown - photo to follow. | TimPrevett (2005-09-05) | Also was here yesterday! Found the main stone in this field, and I believe I found the other stone, though could not visit. It's in the next but one field boundary I think slightly to the north east, and I was not sure if it was a stone, or a tree trunk! I'll be submitting a picture sometime this week. A waiting car load on a hot day, and a horse desiring attention in the field concerned prevented me from taking a closer look. Tim. |
