The 'drapes' are beautiful, and it must have been very special in its heyday... do they say whether it was brought here from a circle, or other ritual/ceremonial place? (It couldn't have been carved like that in more recent years, I suppose??) | thecaptain
(2005-10-18) | The stone looked to have weathered like that naturally. It consists of a sort of hard layered sandstone type texture, and the lines around the stone are the edges of the different strata within the rock. It really is quite amazing. |
