|Description ||Michel Leduc dit ‘deux menhirs en place, à l'entrée du village de LACABARèDE, dans le Tarn, de part et d'autresq d'un calvaire’|
Intriguing translation here to go with Michel Leduc's photo and description. Two menhirs stand at the entrance to the village of Lacabarede – that much is clear - then I resorted to Babelfish which says “of share and d' autresq d' a martyrdom”
So perhaps there’s a folk tale about two sisters who were martyred here, please enlighten us if you’ve heard that story.
| put a space after d'autre and you get "either side of a calvaire - the stone with cross on top. |
However, for good legends, see the caption to ocdolmens picture
| Thanks Cap'n, that makes a lot more sense :-) |
Great legend indeed!
