(2007-02-09) | I am very happy to view your picture of a polisher stone. I was amazed and charmed by the polisher stone that I saw in Wiltshire and I am surprised at the similarity between the two (sorry I don't have a photo).
I find it difficult to understand and empathise with people who lived so long ago in a world and society so differant from ours but relics like these that show intimately the hand of the worker are very powerful and evocative and provide for me a connection with their everyday life. | thecaptain
(2007-02-09) | I agree strandlouper. Sitting on these polishing stones really brings home a sort of connection feeling for the ancient peoples.
