The best preserved part of the Ancient Narona Town walls, as well as the towers, is on the East side of the town, which is built on a crest between two rich valeys.
Detail of the wall showing the large blocks, which in contrast to other Illyrian Hillforts, have not been masoned into rectangular blocks. Still, this contrasts with the much smaller roman blocks used later. |
