This can only be entered by crawling on your tummy; go 4 or 5 feet on, and that narrow passage suddenly opens up vertically, and to the sides into a much larger chamber. This is to the right of the passage.
The camp light in the picture is already at head level - about 5'7". The tallness of the cavity is obvious; and there are several smaller passages off here.
The folklore about miles of tunnels running from here indeed has some substance.
Warning: the health & safety issues of crawling into this sort of feature are obvious! You do so entirely at your own risk. Additionally, there are spiders, moths, plenty of mud, and the odd drip of very cold water down your neck!
