Contact them for permission to reproduce it. | | | Description | This stone we thought the most individually interesting of the stones at Penbedw Park. Its knotted and gnarled texture made for fascinating observation, with differing colonies of lichens inhabiting the nooks and crannies.
Some of the stone also sounded hollow to a gentle tap from knuckles.
Observe the two-tone texture - the lower part of the stone is discoloured and smoother - from sheep rubbing against the stone, and lanolin within the fleece affecting the surface.
The tumulus is visible just to the right.
Permission must be obtained before visiting, as it is on private park land.
