(2011-12-18) | Hi Ang, yes it's the shape that cast your sun-dagger. The "blues" in the background are 63&62 (L-R).

'Is that what you were referring to when you said the line of sight from this U-cut appears to be deliberate?' [ie: in casting light at sunrise onto the rectangle on Stone 57.] Feanor seems confused, too. :-) | sem
(2011-12-20) | Ang, it seems to me that there was more than one intention here. Your dagger is one. The stones in the foreground are fallen 8&9 from the outer circle. From this position you have the U lining directly above a lintel and a line to a barrow outside. It might be coincidence but I doubt it. | tiompan

(2011-12-22) | I would say yes George. 59 would probably have emphasised the cut away in blue 63. |
