Description Stonehenge in about 1968. I took this photo on my first ever colour camera and it produced this grainy image. Apologies for that but I was only 11 years old at the time.

Notice the CND symbol graffiti on the stone at the right-hand side of the photo.

This is an incredible cool picture! It is like looking through an old looking glass into another time. I like everything about it, it tells a story. Well done, past-you! And thanks for sharing, present-you! ;-)

Thanks Manja, I took the photo with an old camera in the late 1960s aged about 11 years. I must have been an aspiring photographer, even at that age. I know what you mean about the photo - it is a bit like looking through a glass bottle - just something that happens when using a old and cheap camera. I think it was a "Diana" camera ? Thanks.

I had a camera like that! A plastic lens that got cloudy over time. My shots look just like this one - though of much more mundane subjects.
I think the students put the CND graffiti on in 64? It took a long time to wear away as I recall.
Nice job, Sunny, and thanks for dragging it out for us!

Much obliged Faenor, yes my camera was plastic but it did a reasonably good job - giving a kind of translucent image.

You won't believe it but I bought a Diana F+ last year. It is so much fun snapping around with it. And it is always a surprise watching the pictures when they come from the chemist ;-)

Sounds good Manja, a Diana camera still in action and, as you say, a surprise when the photos come back from being developed. And it certainly is a surprise !!
