For a moment I thought that something Escher-like was going on in the right of the picture.

MC Escher was a 19th century illustrator whose precise, surreal penciled depictions include 2 hands drawing one other, the obscured vanishing points in 'Stairs To Nowhere' and many others. Delightfully confusing to the eye, he was popular with University students, his posters were, and are, still in high demand. (I had one while at Uni back then!)
The reference made by davidmorgan, I assume, is the way Stones 23, 22, & 21 seem to merge in and out of perspective with the SouthWest Trilithon.
A great photo in any case, with kudos to Klingon!
