The plain iron bell, (resembling a cow-bell) is inside this richly decorated silver and cold case that has gilt-silver working with birds and serpents. This is then offset with stud-work of rock, crystal and glass. On the back of the case there are geometric designs and a panel with 32 interlocking crosses. A similar bell can also be seen in the museum. |
