Details can be found on their website. This is now considered one of the most important late Neolithic/early Bronze age burial sites in Greater Manchester. |

(2009-04-12) | According to the Mellor Heritage Project update 2008, Shaw cairn is a flat ring barrow. Finds include 500 flints and more than a dozen cremation burials, some within stone cists. Some flints date to 10,00BC. |
