| Posted Comments: Henry Cole (2005-04-10) | Agree it is far too big for a barrow. Heywood Sumner in his 1917 survey doesn't support the "fort" idea but just says it is of "unknown purpose" I winder if it is a small Iron Age defended camp to safe-guard live stock etc. |
