Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | With the aid of Paul & Vicky's "Rock Around the Peak" (still unbeatable for THE Peak District megalithic handbook), I made a determined search for this circle last Saturday.
Basically, as you head north from the Nine Ladies along the more easterly of the routes, keep your eye open for the first field opening up to the east. Stanton Moor 1 is very close to its perimeter. If you can find Stanton Moor 3 in the other direction from Nine Ladies, then you have a good idea what to look for here.
The two entrances are strikingly clear, and a large apparently robbed out central area too.
I've looked for lesser remains than this and been pleased, so I would say this is worth looking out for. Just pleased to have found it with a determined search after years of half hearted rushed searching! |
