[Banks probably eroded over the years, so not necessarily intentional?]
This SW stone (foreground) had previously dowsed as the most important focal point in a ritual movement inside circle. A continuation of that movement and re-approach from outside the henge to this point high on bank at SW, had reinforced the importance of this aspect.
I didn't dowse this sunny afternoon in June, but just relaxed, observed, and sketched - luckily, in peace for nearly 2 hrs! |
