All the sources that I've come across put the location of Durwood Tor and the reputed stone circles to the west of Robin Hood's Stride. Take a look at the following - http://www.stantonmoor.co.uk/prehistoric_birchover2.htm#_robin http://www.stantonmoor.co.uk/gem.htm http://www.stantonmoor.co.uk/vestiges.htm

I'd go with the above....Rookes 'augurial seat' looks to be under Durwood Tor...I'll dig out a pic if anyones the slightest bit interested in it......

Consulting the various sources, should this be Durwood, not Dudwood?

There is a hut circle, possibly more, between Durwood and Dudwood and this is made of a ring of continuous(?) stones......several of a decent height.
