This famous chambered tomb dates back over 6,000 years to the Neolithic Age. Last century it partially collapsed during a storm. It had to be reconstructed again, with the giant 13 ton capstone being put back in to place. It is said that a man on horseback could easily ride underneath it - something I don't advocate. Legend associates this site with Merlin and King Arthur. |
