It also helps obscure the wooden frame helping to support the remaining elevated capstone of the chambers! I assume this is a recent picture? When we visited several years ago, we were not sure how long the support would last.

it was taken on monday 17th may infact. i know what you mean about the wooden frame. wouldn't look strong enough to sit on let alone hold the cap stone up
