(2007-05-31) | lol well these arent "my" stones, but also hold close to my heart as does the bodewryd stone ... here a group of friends and i held a vigil one winter solstice, with myself and two others choosing to spend the night .... i woke before the other two and made my way back to cemaes, where i rested some hours more at a friends flat before making the walk back to bodewryd. it was only that evening, some 24 hours or more after the vigil began, when stripping off to bathe, that i realised how close to the campfire i had slept that night, as my left shin was blistered almost from knee to ankle! obviously the himalayan root extract i had ingested the previous night had a greater analgesic effect than i had been given notice of! i spent the rest of decemer and january in shorts, until the excruciating agony of the burn wore off (i will spare you all the gory details) ... i still have the scar today as testament! |
