Look for the splats around the sides of the stone. This field has recently been treated with some silage, as has the stone. The stone occupies a knoll above a taller standing stone to the NW, visible here beyond the field line. About 5 foot tall.
The stones are on private land, and need permission to be visited. This visit was with advance written permission, coupled with a knock on the door before we went on the land. |
